Activity Description

Immunotherapy has transformed the melanoma treatment landscape, offering significant survival benefits for patients across disease stages. However, challenges remain in identifying patients at high risk for recurrence and optimizing treatment strategies to ensure long-term benefit. In this educational program, expert faculty review the latest clinical evidence on immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)–based therapy in adjuvant and advanced disease settings, as well as emerging innovations such as subcutaneous ICI formulations and vaccine-based immunotherapy combinations. Through a case-based narrative, participants will explore evidence-based approaches to personalizing treatment decisions and improving long-term patient outcomes in melanoma.

Target Audience

The intended audience for this activity is physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in oncology who are involved in the management of patients with melanoma.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

Identify patients with early-stage melanoma who are at high risk for recurrence.
Examine the latest data on adjuvant ICI therapy for patients with resected melanoma at high risk for recurrence.
Evaluate the latest data on ICI-based therapy for patients with advanced melanoma.
Review emerging innovations such as subcutaneous delivery and vaccine-based immunotherapy to inform treatment decisions for patients with melanoma.

How to Participate in This Activity and Obtain CE Credit

To participate in this activity, you must read the objectives, answer the polling and pretest questions, view the content, and complete the posttest and evaluation. Provide only one (1) correct answer for each question. A satisfactory score is defined as answering 3 of the 4 posttest questions correctly. If a satisfactory score on the posttest is achieved, Vindico Medical Education will issue an AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ certificate or AAPA Category 1 CME credit certificate.

In addition to providing a downloadable certificate, CME Providers accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) have the ability to transmit CME credit data for all US physicians to an online repository, the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). CME credit data submitted to PARS can be viewed, managed, and tracked by US physicians in "CME Passport," a free, centralized web application. US Physicians who opt-in by providing their medical license number, state of licensure, and date of birth will have their credits automatically reported to the ACCME.
