Activity Description
Lupus nephritis (LN) is a serious and potentially life-threatening complication of systemic lupus erythematosus that continues to drive significant morbidity—particularly among racial and ethnic minority populations. These groups are disproportionately affected by delays in diagnosis, barriers to specialty care, and inequities in treatment and clinical outcomes, underscoring an urgent need for targeted, practical education. This engaging CE program convenes multidisciplinary experts to address these critical gaps in care. Faculty examine the impact of social determinants of health and healthcare system factors on LN management, while providing a clear, evidence-based overview of current guidelines for diagnosis and treatment. Through case-based discussion and expert insight, participants also explore real-world strategies to enhance care coordination, improve access, and optimize outcomes for patients with LN across diverse clinical settings.
Target Audience
The intended audience for this activity includes physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in nephrology, rheumatology, family medicine, or internal medicine who are involved in the management of patients with or at risk for LN.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify demonstrated disparities in LN prevalence, treatment, and patient outcomes.
- Apply appropriate diagnostic tools to identify patients with LN in a timely manner.
- Select treatment for patients with LN based on the latest evidence.
- Identify interprofessional and multispecialty strategies that can improve care coordination for underrepresented patients.

It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

How to Participate in This Activity and Obtain CE Credit
To participate in this activity, you must read the objectives, answer the polling and pretest questions, view the content, and complete the posttest and evaluation. Provide only one (1) correct answer for each question. A satisfactory score is defined as answering 3 of the 4 posttest questions correctly. If a satisfactory score on the posttest is achieved, Vindico Medical Education will issue an AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ certificate or AAPA Category 1 CME credit certificate.
In addition to providing a downloadable certificate, CME Providers accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) have the ability to transmit CME credit data for all US physicians to an online repository, the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS). CME credit data submitted to PARS can be viewed, managed, and tracked by US physicians in "CME Passport," a free, centralized web application. US Physicians who opt-in by providing their medical license number, state of licensure, and date of birth will have their credits automatically reported to the ACCME.
