Activity Description
Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, immune-mediated disease with rising prevalence that can significantly impair quality of life and lead to progressive esophageal dysfunction if not identified and managed appropriately. This educational CE Clips series is designed to equip gastroenterology clinicians with practical, evidence-based strategies to improve the timely diagnosis, treatment selection, and long-term management of patients with EoE. Faculty review guideline-recommended diagnostic criteria and assessment tools, examine the latest evidence-based treatment recommendations, and explore the role of shared decision-making in optimizing patient care. Experts also discuss strategies to address real-world barriers to advanced therapy access for patients with EoE. The accompanying The EoE Playbook will further support learners with key diagnostic and treatment guides, as well as tools to support medication access and improve patient outcomes.
Target Audience
The intended audience for this activity is US-based physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in gastroenterology who are involved in the management of patients with EoE.
Learning Objective
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to select guideline-recommended treatments for patients with EoE based on the latest evidence and patient preferences.
