Support Statement

Activity Description

Despite recent advances, many patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) continue to experience persistent inflammation, fibrostenotic progression, and reduced quality of life, highlighting ongoing unmet needs in care. In this program, learners examine the scientific rationale for targeting TL1A, a key pathway involved in both inflammation and fibrosis. Expert faculty highlight the latest clinical evidence for TL1A inhibitors and discuss the potential for these novel agents to reshape IBD treatment paradigms and improve patient outcomes. Featuring expert-led discussion and an interactive, gamified Wheel of Knowledge Challenge, this program is designed to equip gastroenterologists with the latest developments in IBD therapy.

Target Audience

The intended audience for this activity is physicians and advanced practice providers in gastroenterology involved in the management of patients with IBD.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:

  • Recognize the limitations of current options for IBD management and the need for more effective, targeted therapies.
  • Examine the rationale for targeting TL1A to reduce inflammation and fibrosis associated with IBD.
  • Outline the clinical evidence of emerging TL1A therapies in IBD management.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of TL1A therapies on IBD treatment paradigms and patient care.
